Corporate Reporting Analyst

Purpose of the job

The Corporate Reporting Analyst is responsible for duties related to the monthly preparation of timely and accurate consolidated financial statements and forecasts in accordance with GAAP. You will be a sounding board for the organization as it relates to technical accounting matters including US GAAP, IFRS and other policy interpretations for complex transactions in the United States as well as global locations. You will be a self-starter in a fast pace environment, who will be instrumental in using your leadership skills in driving process and control enhancements to the global accounting function.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of timely and accurate consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. Includes monthly financial reports, monthly forecasts, and monthly BOD presentations
  • Utilize Prophix application to perform Q Holding Consolidations
  • Research accounting treatment for new issues as they arise
  • Provide technical accounting expertise and policy interpretation for complex transactions.
  • Month-end close activities including Q Corporate accounting entries (Payroll entries, benefits, intercompany cash transactions, etc.)
  • Utilize Floqast application to monitor month end checklists and account reconciliations
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts and resolve any issues
  • Manage Q Holding Fixed Asset Database
  • Liaison with External Auditors and Tax Preparers.
  • Implement, document and maintain effective internal controls

 

Minimum qualifications required – Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • 6-8 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong technical US GAAP and IFRS knowledge
  • International accounting experience and working with multiple business units
  • Strong verbal, listening and judgment skills
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills

 

Knowledge/experience required beyond minimum qualifications

  • Public accounting a plus
  • Experience in Corporate Reporting in a public company experience is a plus
  • Experience working with Financial Reporting Tool (Hyperion, Oracle, Prophix, etc.) as well as Month End Close Tool (Blackline, Floqast, etc.)
